Adventures in Innovative Learning Design and Technology (Canvas.net)

Participants will engage in a fun four-week adventure to develop a practical and experiential understanding of pedagogy, learning theory, and learning design with technology. Educators and educators-in-training in higher education, as well as teachers and educational specialists in primary and secondary schools, will find value in this course.

Learning Outcomes & Activities:
In Week 1, we will prepare for our learning adventure by creating a Google Hangout, developing our personal learning environments and networks (PLE & PLN), and engaging in other introductory activities.
In Week 2, we will use a Google Hangout and other engaging activities to explore key concepts related to pedagogy, learning theory, and learning design with technology. We will identify and answer questions such as:
What is learning design a.k.a. instructional design?
What does it mean to be a learning designer with awesome technology at your fingertips?
What are some concepts and vocabulary that we should all know to move forward as learning designers?
In Week 3, we will use a Google Hangout and other engaging activities to explore innovative learning with technology.
In Week 4, we will use a Google Hangout and other engaging activities to bring it all together and reflect on learning and action plans to continue on the path of innovative learning design with technology.
