This course will help you consider how to develop appropriate learning goals for individual and groups of students. You will learn how to plan learning activities to engage your students in ways that will achieve these goals.
In the course participants will learn how to develop a learning module using best practices in pedagogy and instructional design. Using a project-based approach participants will learn and apply the fundamental elements and principles in a module design that leads to higher engagement and learner outcomes.

Introduction (Oct 10 - 16): Insights and Knowledge: Introduction to course design and demo of NovoEd platform.
Week 1 (Oct 17 - 23): Foundations of Pedagogy, Forming Teams - Utilize tools and resources to define a learning objective for your module.
Week 2 (Oct 24 - 30): Module Analysis - Analyze and provide feedback around module design utilizing a rubric.
Week 3 (Oct 31 - Nov 6): Design your Assignment - Utilizing best practices in assignment design, create an authentic learning activity to assess the learning of your participants.
Week 4 (Nov 7 - 13): Content Creation and Curation - Utilize content creation and curation strategies to support your learning experience.
Week 5 (Nov 14 - 20): Team Collaboration and Course Wrap Up - Utilize feedback from your teammates to improve your module.
Continuation (After Nov 21): Continue to Connect with the Course Community - The resources and community continue to be available for your benefit.
