Foundations of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (Coursera)

This course is for professionals at any level who are looking to develop a deeper understanding of the fundamental concepts of DEI as well as the historical and cultural drivers of DEI movements and how they have shaped our cultural dialogues. WEEK 1

Privilege, Power, and Identity

In this module, you will explore privilege, power, and identity, how each shapes society, and the concepts of social identity.

WEEK 2

Bias, Stereotypes, and Behaviors

In this module, you will learn the different types of bias, the media's role in representation and stereotypes, and the power of behaviors.

WEEK 3

The Principles of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

In this module, you will learn about the benefits of diversity, the differences in equity and equality, as well as how to promote inclusion and accountability.

WEEK 4

Concepts of Justice

In this module, you will learn about the importance of social justice, strategies for working towards justice, and identify the differences between restorative and transformative justice.
