Bienestar, equidad y derechos humanos (Coursera)

En la actualidad es muy frecuente escuchar debates en torno a los derechos humanos, la equidad y el bienestar de la población. Muchas personas incluyen estos conceptos en sus conversaciones cotidianas y también son parte de la mayoría de documentos de política pública, programas de gobierno y proyectos de diversas organizaciones. Sin embargo, nuestra experiencia en docencia, investigación, intervención y evaluación nos ha permitido establecer que pocas veces lo que se plantea acerca de estos temas se materializa en acciones concretas que cambien tanto la manera como las personas se relacionan entre sí como la valoración que hacen de la vida que tienen.

Con base en esta experiencia, este curso ha sido diseñado para ayudar a que todas las personas que lo tomen, sin distinción de ninguna índole, se reconozcan como agentes sociales capaces de analizar críticamente las condiciones en las cuales viven e identificar las oportunidades que pueden generar para transformarlas en caso de que constituyan un obstáculo para su bienestar y el de quienes viven a su alrededor.
Para lograr este propósito, de una manera sencilla y práctica, las personas que tomen este curso podrán aclarar conceptos relacionados con el enfoque de derechos humanos, la equidad y el bienestar. Además les facilitamos oportunidades para que exploren sus actitudes con respecto a estos temas y frente al marco de referencia que proponemos para el análisis de las situaciones. También les apoyamos en el desarrollo de habilidades para usar ese marco de referencia en la vida cotidiana.

Syllabus

WEEK 1
Bienestar y equidad
Bienvenido al primer módulo de este curso. Este primer encuentro con el curso te permitirá relacionar el bienestar físico, psicológico y social de las personas con las condiciones de equidad que caracterizan el entorno en el cual viven. Asimismo podrás identificar tu papel como agente social en el fomento de condiciones de equidad que contribuyen al bienestar. Es importante que tengas en cuenta que las actividades de este módulo están vinculadas dentro de los videos. Las actividades que podrás desarrollar durante esta semana están relacionadas con foros y reflexiones (30 min). También te invitamos a responder una encuesta de autoevaluación (30 min) y a participar en las encuestas y preguntas que realizamos en los videos (15 min).

WEEK 2
El entorno visto con el lente de los derechos humanos
Nos alegra mucho que continúes con nosotros en este segundo módulo donde podrás utilizar el marco normativo y metodológico de los derechos humanos para analizar críticamente las condiciones del entorno que inciden en el bienestar de las personas. Encontrarás algunas preguntas y reflexiones personales que te tomarán alrededor de 25 minutos. Te invitaremos a participar en un foro donde podrás compartir con otras personas tus aportes (20 min). Finalmente, te proponemos tres lecturas donde podrás profundizar en los temas relacionados (10 min cada una).

WEEK 3
El bienestar a través del prisma de la igualdad
Este tercer módulo está diseñado para que puedas aplicar las herramientas metodológicas de la perspectiva diferencial en el análisis de las condiciones del entorno que influyen en el bienestar. Las actividades que encontrarás en los videos son: Preguntas y reflexiones personales (30 minutos por todo) y actividades formativas (1 hora en total). El tiempo que te proponemos en cada módulo es sólo un estimado, quizá podrás tardar un poco menos o mas, ten presente que cada persona trabaja a su propio ritmo, centra su atención en asuntos distintos y mira la realidad desde diferentes perspectivas.
