Build learning skills for success to excel in university by learning to solve problems, think critically, and communicate effectively. This "Secrets to Success as a Freshman" course will help you to go through the transition from secondary school to your new role and place in university.

The course will help you acquire independent learning skills and engage in teamwork activities to enable you toovercome challenges and maximize opportunities during your university life. Issues related to plagiarism, research skills, and student support systems as well as information related to transfering overseas for degree completion, including researching universities, setting your priorities and preparing your application for admission will also be covered in this course.
This course suitable for you if you want to:

  1. know the tips for improving your academic performance
  2. learn more about yourself and develop good networking skills
  3. save money through a transfer program and still obtain a degree from the United States or Canada.

Course Outcomes

This Secret to Success as a Freshman course will help you to go through the transition from secondary school to your new role and place in the university. The course will help you to acquire independent learning skills and engage in teamwork activities. This will help you tackle the challenges and seize the opportunities available in your university life. Issues related to plagiarism, research skills, and student support systems are also discussed in this course. Information and assignments related to transfer for a degree completion, for example researching the universities, setting your priorities, the application process, and getting ready for your pre-departure will also be covered in this course.
