Chairperson of Maldives Resilient Reefs, Research Partner Lead for South Asian Nitrogen Hub
Shaha has worked in the Maldivian marine conservation and development sector for over 18 years. She has become a key figure in the Maldivian marine conservation space and has led successful nation-wide campaigns such as #ProtectMaldivesSeagrass and #FishforTomorrow. She is currently completing her MSc by Research at the University of Exeter focusing on marine historical ecology of Maldives. She was awarded the Rehendhi Award in 2021, a national accolade for Maldivian women.
