Welcome to Premiere Pro CC Basics In 40 Mins: For Beginners Crash Course! In this crash course, I will walk you through how to: Open Premiere Pro and create a new project; Move the panel windows to create a custom layout; Import footage and music; Create a sequence for video editing; Perform basic editing functions such as trim, cut, time stretch, and move clips; Separate audio from footage; Understand the timeline layers; Pick selects and assemble a rough cut; Time your edit to music; Perform basic zoom in and position animations; Create titles; Color correct footage; Apply the crop effect; Export to a final video.

This mini-course will cover quite a lot in a short period of time and is intended for people who want to learn only the basics in a short period of time.
I'm your instructor; Will Bartlett - I've edited well over a 1000 projects and run an established video production company out of Toronto. I've been a professional Cinematographer and Editor for over 10 years, and a content creator for over 15 years.

Here is your class project:

  1. Download the attachment to access all of the links to the footage and music
  2. Follow along to practice editing in Premiere Pro
  3. Once you're comfortable with editing after going through the course, create your own unique video by editing the clips together in a creative way using the techniques and workflows shown in the class
  4. Export the video using the instructions from the class, then upload and share it with me!

Your uploaded class project should be a completed short video that you edited together in a custom and creative way using the techniques and workflows shown in the class.
