¿Qué impacto puede tener la infraestructura en la sociedad y el medioambiente? Resulta fundamental adoptar un enfoque integral de la sostenibilidad a la hora de pensar en infraestructura, a fin de potenciar un desarrollo social y económico sostenible e inclusivo, como estipula la Visión 2025 del Grupo BID.
Este enfoque es clave para minimizar los impactos negativos sobre el medioambiente y el clima, disminuir la desigualdad social e impulsar la productividad aspectos claves para lograr una sólida recuperación tras la pandemia de la COVID- 19.
Por todo esto, la infraestructura sostenible es reconocida como un cimiento para cumplir los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible de Naciones Unidas y alcanzar las metas del Acuerdo de París para enfrentar los efectos del cambio climático.
En este MOOC aprenderás cómo define el Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo (BID) la infraestructura sostenible y cuáles son sus beneficios. Identificarás cómo incorporar la sostenibilidad a lo largo del ciclo de un proyecto para que tus esfuerzos estén bien alineados con las prioridades globales y nacionales en materia de sostenibilidad social, ambiental, económica e institucional. Además, podrás conocer algunos ejemplos prácticos y conocer sobre el universo de fondos climáticos que permiten escalar el financiamiento de la infraestructura sostenible.
