This course will answer those questions for you and will walk you through the process of setting up a self-hosted blog on WordPress so that you can run it as a business going forward.
You will learn how to find your niche, how to find a name for your blog and how to purchase the domain for it. You will also find out why it is important to use WordPress.org and host it yourself if you want to run your blog as a business and own it 100%. I will walk you through the process of finding a good hosting company and getting your blog ready to start blogging!
Your class project task are to set up your WordPress blog by: finding your niche by following the process in the first lesson ; finding a name for your blog as described in lesson two.
If you're ready to start a blogging business, set up your blog with a hosting company. I have attached handouts to help you with the steps in this project.
Once finished, upload a summary of how you created your blog, what you have decided to call it and outline your ideas of what you are going to blog about.
