Doris Chong

Dr Doris Chong is a registered physiotherapist (Hong Kong, Canada and the USA) and a neurologic certified specialist by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialty. She has over 20 years of clinical and teaching experience and her clinical expertise is in adult neurological rehabilitation. Doris has worked in various clinical settings across the continuum in Canada, the USA and Hong Kong, with stroke rehabilitation being one of the keen focuses of her clinical practice and teaching area. Her approach is grounded on the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) framework where personal and environmental factors are highly recognized. She is experienced in developing ICF-based stroke programs that are client-centered and participation-focused. She currently works as an Associate Professor at the Department of Physiotherapy at the Open University of Hong Kong and serves in the executive committee of the neurologic specialty group of the Hong Kong Physiotherapy Association, where she continues to contribute to the field of neurological physiotherapy through teaching, research and clinical practice.
