Unreal Engine Interactive 3D: Sequencer-Cinematography, Interfaces, Visual Effects, Pipelines, and Production (edX)

Unreal Engine Interactive 3D: Sequencer-Cinematography, Interfaces, Visual Effects, Pipelines, and Production (edX)

Learn techniques in cinematography, Interface design, visual effects, collaboration and organization, basic optimization and publishing, as well as exciting emerging connections. In this course, you will learn about the Unreal Sequencer as we focus on cinematography. We will set up cameras, lenses, track and jibs to frame shots and create cinematics. You will learn the Unreal Motion Graphics (UMG) for user interface design, and together we will build a Heads Up Display (HUD) as well as an “in-game” interface (useful for VR and AR).

You’ll get an overview of visual effects, building on content from UNRL 101 and 102, plus adding new simulations and effects with the Unreal Chaos Engine and Niagara Particles.
You’ll learn best practices for virtual and in-person collaboration with an introduction to SCRUM quality production workflow, including discussion around various source control asset and animation pipelines. You’ll see a showcase of technology including a virtual reality (VR) template and Quixel mixer tools. Finally, you’ll review optimization strategies and package your interactive work into a runtime executable.
This course is part of the Unreal Engine Foundations Professional Certificate.

What you'll learn
● How to use the Unreal Sequencer to generate pre-visualizations, cinematics, and visual effects
● Integrate (UMG) Unreal Motion Graphics tools for building (HUDs) Heads up displays as well as 3D interfaces
● Basic tools and principles of visual effects: Chaos Engine, Niagara Particles
● The fundamentals of SCRUM principles and iterative programming and design
● Performance, Profiling & Packaging

Writing Video Game Scenes and Dialogue (edX)

Learn the fundamentals of writing cinematics, cutscenes, and in-game dialogue. Increasingly, game designers are realizing that cutscenes, cinematics and character interactions through dialogue are not just breaks from gameplay, or ways of providing exposition. They are integral to the player’s experience of a game. Talking is action. Dialogue is gameplay.

Google Slides (Coursera)

With Google Slides, you can create and present professional presentations for sales, projects, training modules, and much more. Google Slides presentations are stored safely in the cloud. You build presentations right in your web browser—no special software is required. Even better, multiple people can work on your slides at the same time, you can see people’s changes as they make them, and every change is automatically saved. You will learn how to open Google Slides, create a blank presentation, and create a presentation from a template. You will explore themes, layout options, and how to add and format content, and speaker notes in your presentations.

3D Interaction Design in Virtual Reality (Coursera)

This course will teach you about one of the most important aspects of VR, how you interact with a VR world. Virtual Reality is completely different from an on screen app or game. You are completely immersed in a VR world, so it doesn't make sense to interact only through buttons or menus. You will get the most out of VR if you can interact with the world just as you would with the real world: with your natural body movements.
