The changing reality demands new, more flexible project management approaches that allow for adaptation to changes or unforeseen events that may arise during the execution of development and social impact projects, while also achieving sustainable, inclusive, and respectful development.

That is why Academia BID, the learning platform of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), has developed the PM4R Agile methodology. With this hybrid methodology, the team will progress more efficiently in projects, increase transparency, be more motivated, and make more frequent value deliveries with greater stakeholder participation.

In this course, you will learn about the five steps of the PM4R Agile methodology, their characteristics, and the outcomes and tools of each step, as well as the roles each team member will have during project execution.

Over the next few weeks, we will accompany you with various learning activities, so that you can get involved firsthand in planning a real project using the PM4R Agile methodology. Through simulations, you will identify and apply the 5 steps of the methodology in a fictional project and be able to decide when it is relevant to apply them.

This course is "self-paced" so you can enroll at any time, even if the course has been open for a while. You can take it at the time that is most suitable for you inside the enrolment period of the course.
