Startups in open innovation (Coursera)

This course was created in the partnership with StPetersburg Electrotechnical University ETU ?LETI? This course is made for everyone, who is interested in the development of startup projects in the realm of globalisation, crowdsourcing and the emergence of "open-source" innovations. The course can be chosen for beginner level, or become an additional material to the innovation-related higher education curriculum.

The course can be successfully completed by the learners with the basic knowledge of innovation theory and/or management (Bachelor degree or higher).
Upon completion of this course learners will be well-versed in the basic economic models in the digital environment, types of monetisation used for open innovations, will be able to create a business model of value in the open-knowledge environment.
The learners will study the key problems of the digital environment, main methods for building an innovative project, as well as how to limit the access to the information. They will be able to search for the governmental means of support for open innovation projects, private investment resources, and assess the level of maturity of the project.
