Oil Painting Cupcake (Skillshare)
This is a long, thorough, simple demo that can be painted in oil or adapted for acrylics. Great for beginners or if you are starting over! The last half is silent, so you can listen to your favorite music while you watch or paint along. Please refer to my Still Life Class here in Skillshare for videos for THE FIVE STEPS. They include, 1. Color Study, 2. Canvas Prep 3. Transparent Layer 4. Opaque Layer and 5. Brushwork

Paint a small cupcake on canvas with me! Good for beginner painters or painters who need to brush up (pun intended).

Download these photo references to refer to when painting. Always look more at your photo reference than at your canvas. When you look at your progress, back up to judge the painting properly.

Here is the supplies list. The supplies video goes over these items.

Complete a small, vivid still life that will be your new favorite painting! 10x10 canvas and oil paints are recommended for this project. Download the photo references to your iPad to refer to while painting.
