Hair Mastery. All about hair structure, types and condition. (Skillshare)

Hair Mastery. No more bad hair days! This class is perfect for those who know a lot, a little or nothing about hair! Liz is a professional hair stylist with more than 10 years of experience in the salon, on photo shoots, movies and TV. Her passion is helping people understand how their hair behaves and how to manage it. Find out what your hair type, thickness, density and condition is.

In the first class of the series you will learn:

  • Basic structure of hair
  • Chemical composition and how it affects the way hair behaves
  • Hair growth cycles & what they mean for your hair
  • Different hair types, texture vs density
  • How to find your hair type, texture & density
  • What is hair condition and what affects it
  • How to do the elasticity & porosity tests and what these mean for your hair
  • How to prevent damage
  • Common issues and what to do about them

To complete your class project you will need a strand of hair. It helps if it’s from your head but if you’re a hair nerd like me then go ahead and do this with friends and family so they can know what their hair is like too!

  1. Take a strand of hair and apply the porosity and elasticity tests.
  2. Determine your hair’s density and thickness with the information given in the class.
  3. Write down your results and share with the class what you think will help your hair become better and more manageable.

I will check everyone’s projects and give tips and tricks for each hair type and condition.

How to Still Your Mind Through Meditation (Skillshare)

Mind becomes still when a proper energy flow is facilitated at a subtler level, at the level of meridians, in the subtle body. The stillness is an outcome of the right flow of prana (subtle energy). This is a yogic way of systematic working at subtle level, bringing about the changes at the level of mind and body. I guide you, step by step, giving you information and teach you ways to alter the flow of prana in your meridians.
