Construction and operation of pumps for nuclear power plants (Coursera)

Construction and operation of pumps for nuclear power plants (Coursera)

Pumps are widely used in industry, agriculture and in public utilities. However, it is in power engineering that pumps find the widest range of applications. The technological systems of nuclear and thermal power plants involve transferring large quantities of fluids with different physical and chemical properties at different pressure and temperature. Thus, safe and reliable operation of power units depends largely on reliable pump operation.

Nuclear Knowledge Management (Coursera)

Learn why knowledge management is so vital to keeping nuclear power operations running safely and efficiently. Nuclear knowledge is critical now: the previous generation of nuclear personnel is retiring; countries are expanding nuclear programs; ageing nuclear installations may face challenges to ensure they can be operated safely; and there is a growing need for long-term management of radioactive waste and for countries phasing out nuclear programs. Do you work in the field of nuclear energy and realize that knowledge is used inefficiently and even could be lost?
