Tomás Castiñeiras

Tomás graduated with honors in Mechanical Engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires in 1992. He has held a number of different technical and engineering positions within Tenaris in Argentina, including Plant Maintenance, Engineering and Product Design. In 1999, he became the Regional Manager for Latin America and in 2001, was assigned responsibility for major oil company accounts. In 2003, he moved to Houston and led the Dopeless® technology project in the North Sea. From 2005 to 2008, he was the Technical Manager for Tenaris in Europe & West Africa, based in Stavanger, Norway. In 2009, he became the Dopeless® Development Director, helping expand this technology to a fully developed product, sold in 70 countries, with an overall sales record of 400,000 tons by the end of 2014. In 2014, he was appointed the Tenaris Regional Technical Sales Director for Central & South America.
