Anita Raja

Anita Raja is Associate Dean of Research and Graduate Programs and Professor of Computer Science in the Albert Nerken School of Engineering at Cooper Union. She received a B.S. Honors in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics summa cum laude from Temple University, Philadelphia in 1996, and a M.S. and PhD in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 1998 and 2003 respectively. Professor Raja's research contributions are in the field of artificial intelligence, specifically as it relates to the study of decentralized control and reasoning in software agent systems operating in the context of uncertainty and limited computational resources. Over the past decade, Professor Raja has taught many undergraduate and graduate level courses including Advanced Object Oriented Design and Implementation as well as Network-based Application Development.
