Print Something using Found Objects, Carved Objects or Stencils
For this project, I recommend you track down candidate objects in your home and experiment with printing them. This should help you decide on a final print project that appeals to you. Your final project could be a set of greeting cards, a t-shirt, a dish towel... whatever you want to print on.
Step 1: Collect materials. I'll post a PDF below with some ideas for everyday objects that might make good prints.
Step 2: Experiment! Cover a work surface, pour out some paint on a plate, and make test marks with your materials. Once you have a motif that you like, use it for printing on your final print object.
Step 3. Print! At this point, you'll print your project, let it dry, clean up your workspace and do any necessary after-care that's required by your paint. (For example, you may need to heat-set if you're using a fabric paint.)
A complete project will include:
1. Your test prints. Show off your experiments.
2. Your final product. Tell us why you chose it.
