FPGA computing systems: A Bird’s Eye View on Reconfigurable Computing (POK)

Offered by Politecnico di Milano,
FPGA computing systems: A Bird’s Eye View on Reconfigurable Computing (POK)

This course is the first one of a “series”, aimed at providing a structured understanding on how the FPGAs are working and of the rationale behind the choice of them to implement a desired system. This course is for anyone passionate in learning how a hardware component can be adapted at runtime to better respond to users/environment needs.

This adaptation can be provided by the designers, or it can be an embedded characteristic of the system itself. These runtime adaptable systems will be implemented by using FPGA technologies.

This course aims to teach everyone the basics of FPGA-based reconfigurable computing systems. We cover the basics of how to decide whether or not to use an FPGA and, if this technology will be proven to be the right choice, how to program it.
You can access the course absolutely free of charge and completely online.
The course materials will still be available to all registered users for a long time, even after the closing of the edition.

This course is intended for the Bachelor and Master's students, who like practical programming and making IoTs applications! In this course we will talk about two components of a cyber physical system, namely hardware and operating systems. After completing this course, you will have the knowledge of both hardware components and operating systems. You are able to plan and use embedded operating systems in resource-constraint devices for Internet-of-Things (cyber physical system) applications.

Developing FPGA-accelerated cloud applications with SDAccel: Practice (POK)

This course, which is the fourth one of a “series”, is for anyone passionate about practicing how to develop FPGA-accelerated applications with SDAccel. This course will present several scenarios where the workloads require more performance than can be obtained even by using the fastest CPUs. This scenario is turning cloud and data center architectures toward accelerated computing.

Personnel & Third-Party Security (Coursera)

In this course, you will learn all about the process of implementing effective education, training, and awareness programs. You will also study the role personnel security plays in protecting an organization’s assets, intellectual property, and physical assets. You will also be introduced to the steps required for effective Vendor Risk Management (VRM), including: due diligence, contracting, monitoring & accessing, and termination. Throughout the course, you will engage with current case studies that illustrate the key concepts in your lessons. You will also have the chance to submit assignments in which you will apply the material in a practical application.

Hardware Description Languages for FPGA Design (Coursera)

Hardware Description Languages for Logic Design enables students to design circuits using VHDL and Verilog, the most widespread design methods for FPGA Design. It uses natural learning processes to make learning the languages easy. Simple first examples are presented, then language rules and syntax, followed by more complex examples, and then finally use of test bench simulations to verify correctness of the designs.

Everyday Excel, Part 3 (Projects) (Coursera)

"Everyday Excel, Part 3 (Projects)" is a continuation of "Everyday Excel, [Parts 1](https://www.mooc-list.com/course/everyday-excel-part-1-coursera) and [Parts 2](https://www.mooc-list.com/course/everyday-excel-part-2-coursera)". It is a capstone, projects-based course in which you will apply what you've learned previously to more complex, somewhat open-ended projects (open-ended with respect to the fact that they can be solved in multiple ways). Each learner must complete two easy projects (chosen from four), two intermediate projects (chosen from 4), and three main (more difficult) projects (chosen from 7).
