Spring - Cloud Overview (Coursera)

Offered by LearnQuest,
Spring - Cloud Overview (Coursera)

This course explains some high level patterns used in Microservice architectures and the motivation to move towards these architectures and away from monolithic development of applications. . It then goes on to implement these patterns using Spring Cloud, Netflix OSS one of the most popular Cloud implementations of Microservices used today.

This two-part course introduces the basic mathematical and programming principles that underlie much of Computer Science. Understanding these principles is crucial to the process of creating efficient and well-structured solutions for computational problems. To get hands-on experience working with these concepts, we will use the Python programming language. The main focus of the class will be weekly mini-projects that build upon the mathematical and programming principles that are taught in the class.

Learn about Microservices architecture and Serverless computing. Understand their benefits and the process for deployment. Practice using multiple tools in hands-on labs. Create a serverless web application and deploy as a Microservice on OpenShift and as static files on Cloud Object Storage. The demand for serverless is accelerating as organizations look to scale more quickly and efficiently. With the increase in cloud adoption, Microservices within the serverless stack are becoming more popular with faster deployments and greater flexibility.

Building Scalable Java Microservices with Spring Boot and Spring Cloud (Coursera)

"Microservices" describes a software design pattern in which an application is a collection of loosely coupled services. These services are fine-grained, and can be individually maintained and scaled. The microservices architecture is ideal for the public cloud, with its focus on elastic scaling with on-demand resources. In this course, you will learn how to build Java applications using Spring Boot and Spring Cloud on Google Cloud Platform.
