Shoot a Creative Roll of Film: Reproduce Your Favourite Movie Scenes with Film Photos (Skillshare)

Take a look at movies as a source of inspiration or ideas to create a new photograph or explore a new style of photography. In this class you will learn common photography skills in an unusual way. You will be using an often forgotten yet useful medium: film.

From looking at the work of masters you'll learn the importance of:

  • Framing and Composition
  • Angles
  • Lighting

Whether you're just getting started with photography or are a seasoned stills veteran, you are sure to learn some new tips and tricks as you create movie scenes reproductions of your own.
Shoot a Roll of Film Inspired by a Movie
Your assignment is to shoot a movie-inspired roll of film using disposable camera (if no other). You'll choose a movie and find scenes after each lesson, implementing what you learned. You should have at least five photos by the end of the class. By the end, you'll be able to think with movie stills for your next photography project.

Use your Project Workspace to share your process and results. It would be awesome to show:

  • The initial stills that you've chosen
  • Photos that you liked most from your film
  • Final thoughts

Mastering Lightroom for Nature Photographers - 200 Level (Exciting) (Skillshare)

What would you give to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Ansel Adams in the darkroom? To watch him wave his hand beneath focused beams of light as a reverse image of Full Moon over Half Dome burned into the paper's silver surface. No two prints would ever be precisely the same. He was as much an artist here as he was in the field.
