La clave para comprender las finanzas de una empresa está en conocer la historia que se esconde detrás de los números. Este curso te ofrecerá precisamente esta perspectiva de las finanzas, para que puedas aplicar un conocimiento más holístico de las cifras a la hora de tomar decisiones—tanto a largo como a corto plazo—sobre la dirección que la empresa debe tomar respecto a activos y pasivos corrientes, gestión del capital circulante y muchos otros conceptos contables.

WEEK 1
Las finanzas operativas
Bienvenido al curso Finanzas operativas, en el que aprenderás los conceptos básicos de las finanzas operativas que te ayudarán a tomar decisiones financieras acertadas o a gestionar una empresa de forma eficiente. Antes de comenzar con el contenido del vídeo de esta semana, echa un vistazo al programa del curso. En esta primera semana, abordaremos el tema de las finanzas operativas analizando un caso empresarial. ¿Qué nos dicen las cifras del balance y de la cuenta de pérdidas y ganancias (cuenta PyG) sobre su desempeño y perspectivas futuras? Si fueras un banco, ¿concederías un préstamo de medio millón de euros a este negocio? ¿Por qué sí o por qué no? Objetivo del curso: obtener una visión general sobre las finanzas operativas y los tipos de análisis necesarios para tomar decisiones financieras acertadas.

WEEK 2
Ratios operativos y pronóstico
En la semana 1, analizaremos el balance y la cuenta PyG de PolyPanel. En el balance, observaremos que las cuentas por cobrar aumentaron de 188.000 euros en 2004 a 649.000 en 2007. Acabaremos con la pregunta: ¿Se ha debido esta diferencia a un incremento de las ventas o a retrasos en los pagos de los clientes?
En la semana 2, presentaremos los ratios operativos, la herramienta que necesitamos para desentrañar ambos efectos y comprender qué está sucediendo en el fondo. También haremos un ejercicio de pronóstico de PolyPanel para entender cómo de bien estará posicionada para devolver una potencial línea de crédito en el futuro. Objetivos: al final de la sesión, conocerás los diferentes tipos de ratios existentes (días de cobro, días de existencias y días de cuentas por pagar) para analizar el rendimiento de un negocio. También aprenderás a utilizar los pronósticos para respaldar tus decisiones financieras.

WEEK 3
Diagnóstico y plan de acción
A estas alturas, ya tienes una visión bastante clara del caso PolyPanel y de los principales problemas que podrían afectar a la financiación futura. Esta semana, es hora de ponernos manos a la obra y hacer un diagnóstico de estos problemas. Analizaremos las necesidades operativas de fondos (NOF) y el fondo de maniobra (FM), dos conceptos que nos ayudarán a entender mejor la problemática de la empresa. Finalmente, gracias a un diagnóstico claro podremos desarrollar un plan de acción que nos permita un crecimiento sostenible.
Objetivos: al final de la sesión, dispondrás de un marco para diagnosticar la salud financiera de una empresa. Además, conocerás cómo desarrollar un plan de acción para abordar los problemas.

WEEK 4
Análisis de sensibilidad, nuevo enfoque de las NOF y construcción del ROE
En esta última semana, presentaremos las últimas piezas del puzle para que obtengas una visión general completa sobre las finanzas operativas. Abordaremos herramientas como el análisis de sensibilidad, que te ayudarán a evaluar los resultados posibles de una decisión teniendo en cuenta diferentes variables. También trataremos otros asuntos esenciales para la empresa y sus accionistas, como el crecimiento sostenible y la ROE (return on equity [rentabilidad de los recursos propios]), además de repasar las NOF y otros temas.
Objetivos: al final de esta sesión, tendrás una visión global completa de los aspectos claves de las finanzas operativas. También sabrás qué herramientas utilizan los profesionales de las finanzas para tomar decisiones que fortalezcan la posición de la empresa.
