The most effective way to learn Excel is to create a project that means something to you. Something that you can actually use in your daily life, not just some meaningless, theoretical work example. This is a class for those of you starting out in Excel. It will be logical and structured so that you won't be overwhelmed. it is designed to increase your confidence.
You will learn about:
- Adding up numbers and doing simple formulas
- Formatting
- Printing
- Autofill
- Conditional formatting
You will need to practice each part of the project until you feel comfortable with it and then apply the skills you have learned to your own information.
At the moment, I am learning French. It's not easy. For the last year or so I have been learning in a group where everyone seems to know more than I do and I feel like I will never master it. Now I am learning in a better way, slower and at my own pace with plenty of consolidation. It is so much better.
So my suggestion to you is: Make it real and useful and you will learn the 'Secrets of Excel' and I will be there to support you through the process.
