ZHAW Zurich University of Applied Sciences
The ZHAW is one of the leading universities of applied sciences in Switzerland and concentrates on important societal challenges, with a particular focus on energy and societal integration. Teaching, research and continuing education support this mission both scientifically and in practice. The ZHAW attracts over 13 000 students every year, including international students from 465 universities. Around 300 programs are offered at the ZHAW from bachelor’s level to doctorate and continuing education courses.
The ZHAW offers many different disciplines and a wide range of specialist knowledge including Applied Linguistics, Applied Psychology, Architecture, Design and Civil Engineering, Engineering, Health Professions, Life Sciences and Facility Management, Management and Law, and Social Work.
Together with local and global partners, the ZHAW researchers carry out several hundred projects each year. Many of these groundbreaking innovations can be successfully implemented in practice, incorporated in teaching and learning, allowing the students to gain an in-depth understanding of their subject.
