Olivier Corby

Veteran Researcher at I3S & Inria

PhD in Computer Science, University of Nice - Sophia Antipolis.

My research topics are Knowledge Engineering & Semantic Web of Data. I have a special interest in Graph based Knowledge Representation, RDF/S, SPARQL. I designed a generic SPARQL interpreter, with extensions, called KGRAM that processes labeled graphs.

Currently, I work on SPARQL Template, a Transformation Language for RDF. It enables us to transform RDF abstract syntax trees such as OWL RDF to OWL functional syntax and SPIN to SPARQL as well as RDF to Turtle. It can also be used to set up Semantic Web servers. Among its many evolutions, the Web became a way to exchange data between applications. Everyday we consume and produce these data through a growing variety of applications running on a growing variety of devices. This major evolution of the Web has applications in all domains of activity. This MOOC introduces the Linked Data standards and principles that provide the foundation of the Semantic web.
