Demetrios Sampson

Demetrios is a Professor of Learning Technologies at Curtin University’s School of Education in Western Australia.
He has been actively engaged in research and innovation in the field of digital technologies for teaching and learning for the past 20 years. He has authored more than 380 research articles published in scientific books, journals and conferences, received 9 best paper awards and delivered 60 keynote/invited speeches in international conferences around the world.
He is the Editor-in-Chief of the Educational Technology & Society Journal, one of the most highly ranked academic journals in the field of learning technologies, and the Chair of the IEEE Technical Committee on Learning Technologies.
His work in the field of learning technologies was recognised by the IEEE Computer Society, and he was awarded a Distinguished Service Award and Golden Core Membership in 2012.
