Alisa Krishtal

Alisa Krishtal earned her PhD in 2009 from the Department of Chemistry at the University of Antwerp. Her research interests lie in Theoretical Chemistry and Electronic Structure Methods. In 2012, she was awarded a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship for improving the description of van der Waals interactions in Density Functional Theory. In 2016, Alisa turned to a full-time teaching career as a Lecturer at New Jersey Institute of Technology, where she taught General and Physical Chemistry and was awarded the Excellence in Teaching Award. Alisa Krishtal joined the Department of Chemistry at MIT in 2019, where she has taught Chemical Biology as well as Physical Chemistry.
