CPA - C++ Programming Language Certified Associate (C++ Institute)

Offered by C++ Institute,
CPA - C++ Programming Language Certified Associate (C++ Institute)

The course fully covers the basics of programming in the “C++” programming language and presents the fundamental notions and techniques used in object-oriented programming. It starts with universal basics, not relaying on object concepts and gradually extends to advanced issues observed in the objective approach.

Learning objectives:
1) To familiarize the trainee with the universal concepts of computer programming.
2) To present the syntax and semantics of the “C++” language as well as basic data types offered by the language.
3) To discuss the principles of the object-oriented model and its implementation in the “C++” language.
4) To demonstrate the means useful in resolving typical implementation problems with the help of standard “C++” language libraries.
Course outline:
1) Introduction to compiling and software development.
2) Basic scalar data types, operators, flow control, streamed input/output, conversions.
3) Declaring, defining and invoking functions.
4) Strings processing, exceptions handling, dealing with namespaces.
5) Object-oriented approach and its vocabulary.
6) Dealing with classes and objects.
7) Defining overloaded operators. 8)Introduction to STL.
The start date of the course is selected by a candidate, just like the end date, max. 20 weeks after starting date. The course length is selected by a candidate, from 40 days to 20 weeks.
Upon completing the course and passing final assessment (min. 70% score), the student is eligible for a 50% discount voucher for exam in C at one of Pearon VUE’s testing centres.

Interactivity with JavaScript (Coursera)

If you want to take your website to the next level, the ability to incorporate interactivity is a must. But adding some of these types of capabilities requires a stronger programming language than HTML5 or CSS3, and JavaScript can provide just what you need. With just a basic understanding of the language, you can create a page that will react to common events such as page loads, mouse clicks & movements, and even keyboard input.

What is a Proof? (Coursera)

Mathematical thinking is crucial in all areas of computer science: algorithms, bioinformatics, computer graphics, data science, machine learning, etc. In this course, we will learn the most important tools used in discrete mathematics: induction, recursion, logic, invariants, examples, optimality. We will use these tools to answer typical programming questions like: How can we be certain a solution exists? Am I sure my program computes the optimal answer? Do each of these objects meet the given requirements?
