Brian Weeks

Brian Weeks is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Studies and a Faculty Associate in the Center for Political Studies at the University of Michigan. His primary research areas include the formation and consequences of political misperceptions, and how citizens engage and learn from political information on social media. He teaches courses on the Internet and political communication, misinformation, and how society shapes news content.
Brian received his PhD in Communication from The Ohio State University and prior to coming to Michigan he held a position at the University of Vienna.
