Pol Grootswagers

Pol Grootswagers is a PhD Candidate at the department of Human Nutrition and Health at Wageningen University. His research focusses on the prevention of age-related declines in physical functioning via nutritional strategies. He is mainly interested in finding ways to preserve not only muscle mass, but also muscle quality. His projects include improving mitochondrial functioning via nutrition, improving physical functioning before operations or in an undernourished state, and measuring muscle quality via bio-impedance.
