Peggy Semingson

 

 


 

Dr. Peggy Semingson is Associate Professor of Curriculum and Instruction in The College of Education at the University of Texas at Arlington where she teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in Literacy Studies. Dr. Semingson taught bilingual students as a classroom teacher and a reading specialist for eight years in both Southern California and Texas. She received her M.Ed. in Reading Education from Texas State University, San Marcos in 2004 and her Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in Language and Literacy Studies from the University of Texas at Austin in 2008. She has both the basic certificate and the advanced certificate in online teaching from the Online Learning Consortium and conducts research in the area of online literacy teacher education. She is a builder of multimodal teacher education curriculum.
