Simple Mobile Editing for iPhone Using the VSCO App (Skillshare)

Offered by Skillshare,
Simple Mobile Editing for iPhone Using the VSCO App (Skillshare)

This class is an introduction to mobile photography editing using the VSCO app. After taking this class you will be able to successfully add simple edits that will bring the best out of your mobile photos. We will review how utilize five key features in the VSCO editing process. Exposure, contrast, saturation, cropping, and finally, choosing a filter. Your final project will consist of your own set of 4-8 photos that show your before and after editing process.

The only tools you will need for this class are an iPhone, beginner to intermediate knowledge of the camera function, and a VSCO account. You can download the VSCO app in the App Store and follow the instructions for opening an account if you do not have one already. It’s super easy and it’s free. Welcome and let’s get to it!
Now it’s time it’s time to take what you’ve learned and apply it to your own photo story. Your task is to take your own set of 4-8 photos with your phone and edit them with the tools that you learned how to use in the VSCO app. Any kind of photos will do. Your kids, your breakfast, really, anything. You will create a VSCO Journal entry entitled “Skillshare Class Project” which will feature your unedited, as well as your edited photos. Then we can compare the photo sets and assess your editing style. Please don’t forget to share the link to your VSCO Journal in the class project gallery. I also encourage you to write a paragraph or two about your personal editing process and/or helpful takeaways from the class. That way, we can all encourage each other and give positive and helpful feedback. I’m so excited to see your editing potential!

HDR stands for high dynamic range, a photography technique that mimics what the eye can see, merging multiple bracketed exposures into one vibrant image.
