In this 30-minute class, you'll join Kevin in Salton Sea, California where he experiences a day in the desert with his friend Cuervo, a desert cowboy and his two mules.
Kevin shares stories of his experiences taking photos on the road, sharing inspiring and insightful tips on how photography reflects your immersion in a place, and why experience is the cornerstone to your work.

Your assignment is to share 3 different photos from one experience.
- Choose your subject: a friend, a stranger, yourself, a landscape
- Consider the setting: can you change the image by changing location?
- Consider the angle: can you come up with a new perspective to shoot your subject with?
The goal for this challenge is to fully immerse yourself and experience your subject, exploring the different stories your subject can tell as you vary location or perspective. Push yourself to make each photo different, but consistent in the story you're telling.
