Rieneke Terink

Rieneke Terink is a Phd student at the department of Human Nutrition at Wageningen University & Research. Her research project focusses on Exercise stress (markers), micronutrients and training load. She performed research looking at changes in micronutrients and cytokines after exercise and analyzed tools to measure training load. In her current research, she looks at the effect of nutrition on the exercise-induced immune response. Her goal is to find markers that are helpful in monitoring athletes during training (over)load. In addition, she is involved in the courses Nutrition & Sports, Research methodologies and Academic Consultancy training and she supervises students performing their Master Thesis.
