The basic part course describes how a buffalo's head is built, examines the issues of angle, structure of parts. Shows work with a dry brush and a spot, drawing with a line in gray. For this, several lessons are given to exercises.

In the first course, paper with non fluid characteristics is used; there is an opportunity to try and draw on landscape or educational paper.

In the end of the class we will draw a lovely summer picture, with calm and peaceful water buffalo under willow branches

This is a free of charge class for the beginners taught by Olga Sumarokova.

1.Prepare the materials from the list described in the firt lesson. It is all very basic, nothing special is required for this class. Instead of the decorative paper with special effects better take plain chinese some with non fluid characteristics; that gives more clear and predictable result for the beginners.

2.Practice with lines and strokes many times to do light charcoal sketches to study how to draw an animal in right anatomical way.

3. Try to repeat this drawing using brush and ink, to make a realistic and artistic buffalo's head. Practice mixing ink, placing your brush correctly to learn animalistic painting in Chinese style.

4. Using two types of brushes and just ink in different concentration complete the buffalo with the body. Please try to paint free, joyful. It is not a hard work but just fun!

5.Repeat everything you studied before in the final composition and add willow branches. Do not bother about color - you may get the picture more or less bright; but the composition is more essential.

6. Take a picture of your work then upload it so I can take a look! If it is ok I can give some ideas ( depending on the size and composition you will chose) how to frame and decorate it to make a New Year gift from your picture!
