Sergio Campos

Sergio Campos is an economist with expertise in Business Administration and Public Policy. Currently, he serves as the Water and Sanitation Division Chief, responsible for the pipeline (water, sanitation, solid waste) generation and dissemination of knowledge, management of the Division Funds (Spanish Fund for Water and Sewage in Latin America and the Caribbean and AquaFund), relationships with partners in the public and private sectors, among others. Before, he was working in the Bank's Office in Argentina. Amongst his principle responsibilities were the coordination of the Spanish Fund for Water and Sewage as well as the structuring of water and sewage projects for the IDB in Argentina, Paraguay, Chile, Uruguay, and Bolivia. Before joining the IDB, Sergio worked for the Latin American Infrastructure Fund (LAIF) in Washington, D.C. where he structured private equity investments. He was also previously employed by Coopers & Lybrand in their consulting division in La Paz, Bolivia. He has worked on infrastructure financing, reengineering, and in the financial analysis of various water and sewage companies in the region, as well as on the structuring of Public Private Partnership.
