Michael Newhouse-Bailey

Dr. Michael Newhouse-Bailey currently oversees both the undergraduate and graduate sport management programs, as well as manages a large population of adjunct faculty at Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU). He has been in higher education for over eight years, having worked in both online and on campus environments.
Dr. Newhouse-Bailey previously worked in intercollegiate athletics. His background is primarily in communications, having helped produce a cable sports television show. His research interests include sport and family functioning, as well as esports and community development.
He is also responsible for helping to spearhead the growing esport community at SNHU, both on campus and online, facilitating casual as well as competitive gaming amongst the student body. He earned his PhD in Sport Management in 2012 and his master’s in sport management in 2003.
