Lydia Wevers

Professor Lydia Wevers is the Director of the Stout Research Centre for New Zealand Studies at Victoria University of Wellington. She specialises in textual and cultural history. Her books include Country of Writing Travel Writing and New Zealand 1809-1900 (2002), Reading on the Farm Victorian Fiction and the Colonial World (2010). She has published extensively on New Zealand literature and textual history. She is the co-chair of the University’s research distinctiveness theme Enriching National Culture.
