Luis Fernando Sánchez-Barba Merlo

Luis is a Lecture Professor in Inorganic Chemistry at University Rey Juan Carlos since 2006, and he obtained his PhD from the University of Castilla-La Mancha (Spain). He divides his time between organometallic and polymerization research and teaching inorganic and general chemistry at university. He has published several international articles in innovative higher education related with the development and assessment of higher-order thinking skills in chemistry courses. His research interests include advanced macromolecular architectures, functional materials and main group metal catalysts. He has been awarded several times, highlighting the “Marie Curie” Fellowship by the European Commission. He is currently focused on the development of polymeric biomaterials via group-2 catalysts.
