Kathy Vu is an Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream and Director of the PharmD for Pharmacists Program. Kathy graduated from the University of Toronto where she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy. She later went on to complete a hospital residency and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree. Kathy’s area of clinical expertise is in oncology and health systems approach to delivering safe and high quality care to cancer patients. Kathy held many leadership roles throughout her career including Clinical Pharmacy Practitioner at St. Michael’s Hospital, provincial Clinical Lead for Safety Initiatives and Program Manager for the Systemic Treatment Program at Cancer Care Ontario. She continues to hold the position of provincial Clinical Lead, Safety and academic lead for the Essentials of Oncology and Advanced Oncology Programs through the School of Continuing Studies at the University of Toronto. Kathy teaches PHM301 and PHM653, two oncology courses at the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy. Her research interests are in pharmacy practice and quality improvement in oncology. Kathy is also a learner in the Education Scholars Program and a student in a Master’s program at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto.
