Jos Bijman is an expert on cooperatives and producer organisations (POs) in agrifood value chains. His research focusses on organisational issues (such as internal governance; member commitment; board-management relationship), as well as the sustainability, resilience and inclusiveness of cooperatives and POs. Other research projects deal with quality improvement in value chains, contract arrangements between farmers and their customers, and new chain configurations.
