Glynn Durham was born in Louisiana. He earned his Master's Degree in Computer Science at Louisiana State University, where his studies included work with Peter Chen, the developer of entity-relationship modeling, part of a methodology for relational database design. Glynn's work life has been primarily as a technical instructor, and he has been employed for over 5 years each at Oracle, MySQL, Sun Microsystems, and Cloudera.
