Achille Davy-Rigaux

Directeur de recherche au CNRS en musicologie, Achille Davy-Rigaux est titulaire des prix d’Histoire de la musique, de Musicologie et d’Esthétique musicale du Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, d'Analyse musicale (CRR de Caen), de Hautbois (Ville de Paris).
A.D-R a dirigé l’Institut de recherche en musicologie (IReMus, UMR 8223), de sa création en 2014 à 2018, l’Institut interdisciplinaire Collegium Musicæ Sorbonne Université, de sa création en 2015 à juin 2018, coordonne le réseau Épistémuse des musicologies francophones, et préside la Société française de musicologie.
Achille Davy-Rigaux is Director of research at the Centre national de la recherche scientifique (National Centre for Scientific Research [CNRS]-France). Currently the president of the Société française de Musicologie, he has coordinated the Épistémuse network of Francophone musicologies as co-founder. His research focuses on critical editions (particularly Rameau’s opera omnia), digital musicology (e.g. the digital score library NEUMA) and plainchant and church music in the modern era, approached in particular through its practices and its link with the liturgy. He is a co-editor of two series published by Brepols: Église, liturgie et société dans l’Europe moderne (ELSEM) and Musique: Sources – Recherche – Interprétation (MSRI). He is also involved in setting up digital collections at the Institut de recherche en Musicologie (IReMus) and Sorbonne University’s Collegium Musicæ Institute, of which institutions he served as director since their creation.
