Hi, I’m Jessica Sanders, a self-taught mixed-media artist who loves exploring art and sharing it with you! Let’s paint a quick and easy pear - in real time! In this short beginner watercolor class, we will paint a pear together. We will practice adding light and shadow, and paint a lovely little pear. This class is not meant to be an in-depth study of pears! We will keep it light, loose, and simple. Let's focus on exploring and enjoying watercolor.

For the class project, please share your pear painting with me and your fellow students :)

In this class you will learn the simple process of creating beautiful and unique prints on fabric and paper using only leaves and flowers with these household items: Alum (found in the spice aisle or larger containers on Amazon); White Vinegar; Substrate of Choice (different papers, book pages, doilies, cotton fabric, muslin, etc.) I use this mixed media paper; Paint Brush or Spray Bottle; An old pot for boiling; Twine; Brick or stones to weigh down your bundles; Flowers and high tannin leaves (examples include maple, oak, birch, nut tree leaves, fruit tree leaves and herbs)
