Tadayuki Hara

Dr. Tadayuki Hara joined the UCF Rosen College of Hospitality Management in 2005 from the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University. From 2008-2010, he served as an interim Associate Dean, and since 2010 has served as an Associate Dean of finance and administration. Before his career in academia, he spent 19 years working in global wholesale investment banking (project finance and acquisition), corporate finance, and also in foreign services. He has been active in local and global community services, including his work as a Treasurer of the Association to Preserve Eatonville Community, an African-American non-profit cultural organization (in Orlando); as a Chair of the Board of Trustees of Orlando Hoshuko (kindergarten, elementary, and middle school in Orlando); as a Technical Advisory Board member of and Consultant for Tourism Statistics & Tourism Satellite Accounts (TSA) at United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO); as an Advisor for TSA education at UNWTO Regional Support Office (UNWTO-RSO); and as an Advisory Committee Member for International Trend Research on Tourism Statistics, Japan Tourism Agency. He has two master’s degrees (hotel administration and regional science), a Ph.D. from Cornell University, and an M.B.A. from the University of Glamorgan, Wales.
