Robert E. Sallis

Dr. Sallis is a family physician at Kaiser Permanente for over 20 years. A Past-President of the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), he chairs Exercise is Medicine™, a joint initiative of ACSM and the American Medical Association. Dr. Sallis was the founding editor-in-chief of Current Sports Medicine Reports, chaired the Healthcare Sector for the National Physical Activity Plan and is a spokesperson for Every Body Walk!. He has received awards for his work from the President’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports, the Italian Federation of Sports Medicine and ACSM.
