Matthias Bauer
Matthias Bauer studied computer science at the University of Rostock where he began to develop interest in e-learning. During his studies, he took part in e-learning trainings and also worked as a tutor for distance learning. After finishing his studies in 2010, he worked as a software engineer for a year until he took the opportunity to become a research associate and started working on his PhD at Hasso Plattner Institute. At HPI, Matthias works at the chair of Internet Technologies and Systems headed by Prof. Dr. Christoph Meinel. He is a member of the HPI tele-TASK group and coordinates development, sales, joint operation, tele-TASK on iTunes U, etc. In addition, he has supervised several bachelor and master theses and given several seminars and classes concerning internet technologies, web programming and mobile web technologies. His research interests are video-based lecturing techniques and lecture recording, distribution and post-processing technologies.
