John McCarthy

John McCarthy is currently a Post-Doctoral Fellow at MIT's Sloan School of Management and will become a tenure-track Assistant Professor at Cornell University starting in August, 2015. He received his PhD from the School of Management and Labor Relations at Rutgers University. Previously, he was a Visiting Doctoral Student and the Northrop Grumman Research Fellow at The Wharton School. John studies issues relating to human resource management, industrial relations, and social networks. His research has spanned multiple professional settings (including public education, international call centers, and US healthcare) and appears in leading academic journals. His studies have been funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the US Department of Labor and have been cited by leading media outlets, including the LA Times and The New York Times.
