Andrea Allen

Dr. Andrea Allen received her Ph.D. in developmental psychology from Florida International University and is a licensed therapist in the State of Florida. She currently is an Assistant Professor of Behavioral Sciences at Barry University in Miami, Florida. She also serves as the Academic Coordinator for Behavioral Sciences and Social Welfare for the ACE Program at Barry University. Dr. Allen has been involved in “Project Recovery,” a Florida program aimed at helping children cope in the aftermath of hurricanes. Further, Dr. Allen has worked with mental health professionals in New Orleans in an effort to address anxiety and post-traumatic stress in children after Hurricane Katrina. Additionally, Dr. Allen conducts research at the Child and Family Psychosocial Research Center at Florida International University, with a particular interest in childhood anxiety disorders and phobias.
